More rejection of advertising please

I wish the free/libre/open community were that much more gung-ho about rejecting the whole corporate advertising machine that happens to be the primary driving factor behind almost all proprietary things.

I'm more of a reformer than abolitionist when it comes to advertising, but I'm all for more connections, especially where they involve serious attempts to explain as well as critique how FLO impacts other social problems.
