Buenas,

me ha dado por crear una infografía tratando de aclarar las dudas sobre las licencias CC y sobre todo las implicaciones que tiene el usar una u otra.

Antes de publicarla y difundirla me gustaría recibir opiniones de cualquier tipo. Incluyendo la idoneidad o no de cualquier texto, si echáis alguno de más o de menos, el formato, o lo que sea.

Buenas,

el administrador de suchat.org me ha escrito hoy diciéndome que había actualizado el servidor y probase de nuevo y ya me funciona correctamente Conversations con la cuenta de suchat.

Tanto este administrador como el desarrollador de Conversations han trabajado lo suyo para solucionarlo, cosas que solo pasan en el mundo libre y que no siempre valoramos lo suficiente. \o/

También me ha comentado que para recibir los mensajes en dos clientes Gajim con Conversations, pero el plugin OTR de Gajim no hay forma de hacerlo funcionar (de hecho por ahí dice que no es recomendable) y tengo que elegir entre OTR y Message carbons. Veremos con qué me quedo.

He encontrado un trabajo en barcelona... Contento por el trabajo a la par que un poco triste por tener que dejar a la familia.

Pero bueno, hay que trabajar, y mas siendo de informatico :).

Me llevaré el portatil que compre que tiene mas de 10 años y con el "cacharro" podré estar conectado tanto con mi familia como con ustedes :).

I've been polishing Dianara-dev post-beta1 for a while, and now I've tagged it as RC in preparation for a release. Some broader testing would be great.

The main change since v1.2.5 has been the refactoring of the way the timelines are handled, which makes updates much faster and the interface smoother. The number of unread posts is not reset on each update anymore. If you get more new posts than what you have configured to show in one page, you'll be notified of how many more posts are pending to be received in the next update. The posts opened from the Meanwhile feed via the "+" button will now be able to load the comments much more often.

Other smaller enhancements are a few new options in the Configuration dialog, such as the options to highlight comments made by you, comments made by the author of a post, to choose the size of avatars, or to show more obvious "frames" in shared posts.

There's also an option to hide duplicated posts; that is, posts which were already visible in the timeline will not be shown again when someone shares them.

One new feature that is not visible is nickname completion, a.k.a. "mentioning". If you type '@' while composing a post, you'll get a list of the people you follow. You can then type the first characters of a name and use the arrows and enter keys to select the contact you wish to mention. When creating a note, this will add that contact to the "To" list, which means they'll get your post in their "direct messages" inbox. This was possible before, using the "To" and "Cc" menus, but now it's simpler =)

Besides all that, the development has been moved to Gitlab.com.

El comentario tiene su chicha. Por una parte, parece que si no eres totalmente consecuente con un pensamiento las aportaciones que hagas para promover el mismo no son del todo válidas. Por otro, parece que ignora que soy tan activo en Twitter como en Pump.io. Por último, y esta es la razón por la que sigo en Twitter, es que allí hay gente que me aporta muchísimo y que no está en otras redes: no pienso renunciar a ellas, igual que no renuncio a Pump o a Diaspora (esta última cada vez la uso menos), al margen del factor ideológico.

Minera Los Pelambres, de propiedad del grupo Luksic, está enfrentando un duro escenario en el Valle del Choapa, región de Coquimbo. Esto tras años de operaciones en la zona, desde su implementación en 1999, la minera ha mantenido enfrentamientos y “diálogos” con diferentes localidades de dicha zona. Cuando su primer tranque de relave, “El Chinche”, se agotó, procedieron a instalar el Tranque “Los Quillayes” en la zona alta del valle en el sector de Cuncumen. El relave “Los Quillayes” se agotó (nuevamente) muy pronto – en menos de dos años ya estaba a máxima capacidad – por lo que este fue cerrado con “participación” de la comunidad, o mejor dicho, participación de las autoridades locales y regionales. Así, la minera buscó un nuevo tranque esta vez en la localidad de Caimanes, instalando el tranque el Mauro que agotó y contaminó las aguas del estero El Pupío. La comunidad de Caimanes llevó a cabo una larga y dura lucha judicial, la cual finalmente ganó con un fallo histórico de la 4ta sala de la Corte Suprema, la cual el 21 de octubre del 2014 ratificó el falló en favor de Caimanes y exigió a la minera devolver el cauce natural de las aguas del Pupío

The first beta of the upcoming Swift 3.0 has been released

“We’ve just released a Swift 3.0 beta. A fuller list of new features is available on the download page, but highlights include file transfer support, keyword highlighting, nuisance user blocking and seamless multi-person chats. We encourage everyone to get the new build and try it out, and tell us about any bugs they should come across as we work towards release candidates and a final release.”

These are the main changes since 2.0:

• Chats can now be seamlessly upgraded to multi-person chats by either inviting someone via the ‘cog’ menu, or dragging them from the roster. This relies on server-side support with an appropriate chatroom (MUC) service.
• Highlighting of keywords and messages from particular users can now be configured (Keyword Highlighting Blog post).
• Full profile vcards (contact information etc.) are now supported and can be configured for the user and queried for contacts.
• Simple Communication Blocking is now supported (subject to server support) to allow the blocking of nuisance users.

• Support for ‘right-to-left’ languages has been improved.

• Swift now distinguishes between contacts who have chosen to show as ‘away’ and those whose clients have noticed they’re idle (requires support in contacts' clients).
• Typing search terms with the roster selected will start to search for contacts matching the terms (useful for users with large rosters).
• An experimental ‘Trellis’ view for viewing several chats and rooms at once has been added. This is currently hidden; contact us if you’re interested in testing this feature.
• And assorted smaller features and usability enhancements.

La introducción a Jabber extra rápida y sin colesterol (?)

Para quien ha visto escrito "Jabber/XMPP" y no sabe bien qué es, siempre suelo recomendar ESTA PÁGINA.

Sin embargo, hay gente que tiene poco tiempo, o pocas ganas de leer o quiere entrar rápido en el mundillo Jabber o qué sé yo. Así que, para aquellos, acá va, lo más corto que puedo, este post dedicado a Jabber.

Nota: No pidan detalles rigurosos o técnicamente ajustados, para eso está la web que les di y Wikipedia :P

1. ¿Bueno, es Jabber o XMPP?

Jabber era el nombre que tenía el sistemita antiguamente. Ahora se llama XMPP, que es una sigla. Algunos creemos que Jabber es un nombre más fácil de recordar y usamos ese. Pero bueno, en el fondo son dos nombre para la misma cosa.

2. Ah, re loco ¿pero qué es Jabber?

Un protocolo de CHAT.

Bueno, en realidad es mucho más que sólo chat, ya que se pueden hacer videollamadas, enviar archivos, recibir mensajes offline, etc. Para más detalles: el link, el link.

3. Bonito, bonito ¿y cómo se usa?

Fácil: Te creas una cuenta, bajas un programa para usarla y listo. Puedes agregar contactos y tener una lista. Si no conoces gente que use Jabber, aún (que es lo más probable), también puedes entrar a salas de chat, con sólo tener la dirección de estas, y hablar con más gente.

4. Genial, entonces me voy a www.jabber.com, me creo la cuenta, me bajo el programa y empiezo.

No, no, no. Acá no funciona así el tema. Jabber es una red DESCENTRALIZADA, así que no hay tal cosa como "LA página oficial" para crearse cuentas o "EL programa" para usarlo.

Para crear cuentas, es como el correo electrónico: hay varios proveedores. E independiente de dónde tengas tu cuenta, te puedes comunicar con otras personas que usen el protocolo.

Como decía, tampoco hay un solo programa para usarlo. Los hay muy diversos y para distintas plataformas.

Entonces:

a) Para crear la cuenta:

Se suelen recomendar algunos proveedores como

• Mijabber.es
• Suchat.org
• Jappix.com

Pero hay MUCHOS más, AQUÍ UNA LISTA MÁS EXTENSA

b) Programas para usar Jabber:

Repito: también hay muchos, y para diversas plataformas. Acá ya todo depende del gusto personal. Nombraré un par para el computador/ordenador, básicamente porque funcionan en varios sistemas operativos:

• Pidgin
• Psi
• Jitsi
• Instantbird

Hay aplicaciones para móviles también, y sus distintos sistemas operativos.
